I'd say the enemies to lovers trope goes deep between Glyndon and Killian, but even that might be an understatement because Glyn could shout from every rooftop about how much she hated Killian. But he was so unbothered by it and kept on with his day. This book genuinely would’ve been three stars if it weren’t for the side characters icl. They gobbled all my attention and left scraps for the main couple. I just loved the friendship groups and each ship in the making shkshdjdj im so excited to read the rest of the series 🤸🏻‍♀️ there were some grammar/spelling mistakes. If the mistakes are minor, I tend to overlook them, but there were a couple that had he rereading lines to figure out what was supposed to be there 😬 I just loved this book, although at times he was a little dominant, not complaining, just loved his passion and obsession that she made him whole and kept the Desmond away. Amazing read. Their toxic relationship was so toxic that Killian used to make food for her because she didn't eat properly. He quit smoking for her. He killed someone who beat Glyndon. He threatened Glyndon repeatedly to take her virginity. He threatened her teacher who was never satisfied with Glyndon's work.

This one is a standalone with all the steam. It's probably Rina's longest book and it's all worth it. I mean for me, any amount of words by rina are not enough, like I am always left wanting more and same was the case in this one! I want the next book so bad. I already have so many couples in my head, let's see which ones we get! Definitely recommending this one to all the high school dark romance loving people. It's full of triggers like non con, dub con, suicide talks and lot more so please keep that in mind as well. Gylndon has her own mental struggles and it explains why she doesn't go to her very loving family for help when Kill turns his eyes on her. So that also made it work for me. glyn was really depressed from the loss of her fake ass bestie, feeling inferior in a family full of artists, has a professor who never supports her and diminishes her work, and then to top it off killian happens. i liked how she dealt with killian, she knew what he did was wrong but didn't want to report him because we all know how powerful families protect their own, and how much women heavily rely on evidence to get justice. This was so underwhelming and boring and RK out there bragging it's her longest book 🤣 (sorry hun, long =/= good).
