The MDA profile took me a while to get used to, however, especially for someone who has mostly used Cherry/OEM profile keycaps before. There is a bit of height difference between the different rows of keys, but they are not as prominent as the Cherry profile, and are mostly flat which confused my muscle memory initially. Of course, you can always replace the keycaps with third-party ones but it would rob the keyboard out of its true essence and I would recommend against that. There are a few special physical features on the Epomaker RT100. There are a couple of special switches on the top right of the keyboard. One switches it so it works on Windows or Mac PC. The other switches between wired and wireless mode. Epomaker claims that the RT100 is “gasket-mounted”, however revealing the internals suggest otherwise. Sure, the keyboard does use layers of foam around the bottom case to “host” the keyboard, but this is not how a traditional gasket mount should look or perform like. Instead of adding gasket foam on the switch plate itself, Epomaker has added the foam on the bottom case, on which the polycarbonate plate lies down upon. As a result, there is little to no flex on the plate, and while the typing experience is still quite pleasant, there is no ‘bounce’ that usually comes with a well-implemented gasket mounting system.

Though the feet it sits on offer suspension, the plinth itself, however well isolated from resonances travelling that way, feels far from robust. The RT100 is a 96% keyboard, which means that it sacrifices very few keys to squeeze everything into a compact form factor, while also offering a full numpad set. The keyboard is only about an inch bigger than a standard-size TKL keyboard, making it a great choice for gaming as well as for office use as it won’t take up as much space as a full 100% keyboard usually would. USB-C(USB-Type-C):Toggle the connection mode switch on the top of the keyboard to “off”, inserting the cable, and please ensure Win/Mac is correctly chosen. Then the keyboard can be used wired. Recommended cold- tire pressure for both knobbies is 125 kPa (1.25 kgf/cm2, 18 psi) and is suitable for off-road riding. As for brakes, right-hand/foot-operated drums complete its tire-and-wheel assembly. Suspension The Mini TV connects to the keyboard via a USB-C port in special indent that also doubles as a cavity to store the 2.4Ghz wireless dongle. This is useful when you are traveling and do not want to misplace the wireless USB, or you can cover up the indent if you do not like to use the Mini TV at all.The Epomaker RT100 comes with the keyboard, a two-in-one keycap and switch puller, and the main star of the show, a matching retro off-white USB-C cable. The cable is mostly for aesthetics, but it feels high quality with a rubber-coating on the wire, and a plastic gray plate covering the ends of the cable. It looks stylish and matches the keyboard quite well, and it also shows that Epomaker has really focused on the style quotient when it comes to the RT100. Epomaker RT100 - Design, Features and Keycaps Established as a reed organ and piano manufacturer, the firm swiftly transitioned into motorcycle production. It achieved remarkable advancements in its ventures and introduced groundbreaking Enduros like the Yamaha RT 100. It has a Yamaha Autolube lubrication system — a proprietary oil injection system that utilizes a mechanical oil pump and is ECU-controlled. Required engine oil is 1 L of SAE 10W-30 Yamalube 2-cycle oil or its equivalent, with a minimum SJ API grade, meeting JASO T903 MA standards (originally JASO FC or ISO EG-C, EG-D grades). As mentioned before, the Epomaker RT100 features three modes of connectivity - wired via USB-C, Bluetooth (with up to 3 profiles), and 2.4Ghz wireless. The 2.4Ghz wireless performs reasonably well - there is no discernible lag or input latency when typing or gaming, and it wakes up reasonably fast from sleep mode after a period of inactivity. Bluetooth works similarly well, and I had no problems connecting and shifting between my iPhone and iPad by using the FN key combination.

The Yamaha RT100 is an Enduro-styled two-wheeler produced from 1990 to 2000. It has a 97cc power mill, stark, rugged styling, and robust suspension (paired with an almost-8-inch ground clearance), and it is a great bike for beginners and off-road enthusiasts. The RT 100 — A Short-Lived Off-Road Classic If silent switches aren’t your type, then you can get the RT100 with a variety of other switches, namely the Epomaker Wisteria (linear), Epomaker Flamingo (linear), Epomaker Budgerigar (tactile), and Gateron Pro Yellow (linear), all of which come pre-lubed from the factory. Epomaker RT100 - Software While the Mini TV is cute and really adds to the overall appeal of the keyboard (it looks like a CRT!), I also wish it was more useful and customizable. Besides changing the gif, the rest of the information on the screen cannot be changed at all. I would have loved for the software to allow me to display custom information like GPU and CPU Temp, or some custom text to really personalize the screen to my liking. As such, besides the style quotient, the Mini TV is not exactly useful, especially since displaying the weather and CPU temp requires one to give the Epomaker software admin access to work - which is not something I am willing to do. Epomaker RT100 - Ease of Access and DisassemblyNote: Please make sure the RT100 is the only keyboard connected to the computer for the firmware upgrade, and make sure the mini TV is firmly plugged in. And If your computer does not has a temp sensor, then the temp will show 0. Overall dimensions are 70.7 x 29.9 x 37.8 inches (1,795 x 760 x 960 mm — L x W x H) for Yamaha RT100Ms sold in North America, with slight variations in length, width, and height across different markets. The seat height is somewhat low at 28.7 inches (730 mm). Meanwhile, the curb weight (unladen) is 79 Kg (174 lbs).

Of course, not every task the Roberts performs is quite so intricate or dependent on such nimble footwork, and it fares better when rhythms are more singular. Please ensure the RT100 is connected in wired mode (with cable), the mode switch is set to USB, and Win/Mac is correctly chosen. We play Radiohead’s Kid A and the RT100 appears to be more comfortable, using its general insight to dig out decent texture from the instruments and affording generous body to vocals. The only aspect that I did not like about the RT100 was the volume knob. It’s not just because it feels like it’s made out of cheap plastic, but also the static graphic on the top makes it look like a child’s toy rather than something more polished and sophisticated. It truly does stand out like a sore thumb, and there doesn’t seem like a way to remove it either as the graphic is placed below the plastic top covering the knob. If there is one thing I would recommend Epomaker to change for the next iteration of the RT100 would be this - either remove it entirely or do something that’s more closer to the Epomaker TH80 Pro keyboard. To its credit though, the knob feels quite pleasant with pronounced ‘steps’ whenever you use it. The keycaps on the keyboard are made of "durable and non-greasy PBT" according to Epomaker, and they feel smooth to press on. The company says the letters and other tests printed on the keys use dye sublimation, and they should last for a long time, but obviously, I was unable to really review this particular feature in the short time I used the keyboard. However, that feature is there if you want that on your keycaps.

Above the volume knob are two switches, one to change the compatibility from Windows to Mac, and the other is to turn on the wireless functionality. The keyboard supports USB-C, 2.4Ghz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity, which can be paired with up to 3 devices by using the FN + 1/2/3 keys.
