Anyway I love this book and totally highly recommend it to anyone who wants an alternative or just knowledge because as I say knowledge is power and that is the truth. It adds a bit of magic touch seeing the fiber in the paper and that a tree didn't get cut down for it. Both sections include 'Cautions' however I find these to be incredibly lacking as many plants in this book have multiple interactions and contraindications with both pharmaceuticals and herbal medicines and even regular food. Also, there is section dedicated to beginner who want to try to grow or make their own herbal remedies with techniques such as infusion, devotions, tinctures, tonic, etc. It's authoritative, comprehensive, well laid out, lavishly illustrated, and clearly a labor of profound love on the part of the author and all those who worked on it. There’s a large section on how to make use of the herbs for tinctures, decoctions, salves, ointment etc.

For my part, I won't be rolling the dice with any of these herbs, accept for the ones I already know to be edible. The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. I especially liked the sections relating to specific areas of the body and specific illnesses and the specific herbs that could help. I definitely preferred the in-depth pages of the first 100 herbs, but it is nice that so many more are included at the end since it would be impractical to do so for all 550.
