NEW Zombies and Bikers, with John Amplas, Roy Frumkes, Tom Savini, Christine Forrest, Tom Dubensky, Tony Buba, Taso Stavrakis and a whole host of zombies and bikers! I grew up watching George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead as young as 7 years old (at least that’s my first memory of having seen portions of it) and remembering it scaring the living tar out of me. They can't seem to help themselves from reverting back to the capitalistic belief that owning stuff provides comforting protection and signifies a well-valued life even as civilization collapses all around them and just outside their front doors.

UK collector Scott, also managed to hunt down a copy of the UK Zombies - Dawn Of The Dead trailer, which he found on the UK 1981 Intervision Exterminator pre-cert VHS. gallery with rare promotional imagery; press conference from the premiere of the 4K restoration in Venice 2016 (33min); home videos from the set with commentary by Ralph Langer (13min); further extras tbc. For more about Dawn of the Dead 4K and the Dawn of the Dead 4K Blu-ray release, see Dawn of the Dead 4K Blu-ray Review published by Neil Lumbard on February 10, 2023 where this Blu-ray release scored 4. Romero's film Dawn of the Dead (1978), starring Scott Reiniger, Ken Foree, David Emge, Gaylen Ross, and Tom Savini. It looks like a blurred orange mess on the Blu-ray but you can tell the individual flames and color changes inside the fireball on the 4K disc), and the blacks are incredible.Dawn of the Dead may not be as unremittingly tense and disturbing as its predecessor – nor was it ever intended to be – but in all other respects it's everything a great horror movie should be and a whole lot more besides. Night of the Living Dead helped shape the modern horror film as we know it today, but it was Dawn of the Dead that defined the structure and content of zombie sub-genre as it would play from this point on. The project then expanded to a second disc to include more related material, and eventually a third disc. Sarah to her part and to bringing her character to life (without zombies getting in her life's way – joke intended).

The mono track is clean and bright, and as faithful as you can get to the original cinematic experience. I was able to fit both main movies, and still had a fair bit of space left over on the first disc, so I added in a few extras. In July 2022, I spent a day modifying this set's Intervision UK pre-cert VHS trailer, to be included in future DVD/Blu-Ray projects as an an advertisement for this set. As the director will admit, this is pretty blatant, so maybe subtext is the wrong word, but it’s handled well and gives the film an edge over more bog-standard horror fare. That tape was a little more worn being an ex-rental, but it certainly looked better than the chewed up sections, and they were patched together to make the final version.Things don’t get much better there, as the security guards try to control the group, and it’s not until they overpower and take things over themselves that they have a semblance of freedom. What I found interesting, watching the film now, was how much of it reminded me of the current COVID situation. In Europe, Second Sight Films raises the dead on 4K Ultra HD as an awesome seven-disc limited edition box set with brand-new 4K presentations for all three versions of Romero's cult classic, making them the definitive watch at home. The star prize here and the key selling point of the set is the Blu-ray transfer of the theatrical cut. The action and visuals also enjoy a wider, more sumptuous array of colors, especially the animated candy-rose reds of blood giving the movie a more energetic pop.

With so many features there is quite a bit of crossover in content but there’s something new in every piece and the cast and crew talk so fondly of their experience on the film that it’s a pleasure to listen to them talk about it each and every time. Disc 2 plays without a menu since there is nothing else to choose from, but has chapter stops every 5 minutes.Something untoward must have happened, as I went in one weekend and suddenly the guy "had no idea what the horror box was", and from then on, that was the end of that! Bullets hit with great impact, and the shotgun that Ving Rhames carries sounds like a veritable howitzer cannon. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. Whether you have or haven't seen this movie, the 4K HDR experience is, by far, the best way to watch. Grain is barely visible and the transfer has a very pleasing 'filmic' look that's just not as pronounced on the DVD versions.

Ving Rhames is the hulking beast of a man who wants to get things done, while Ty Burrell is pure and utter self centered evil. The management works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. having been a regular most weekends for a good few months prior to this, the guy in the DVD department downstairs asked if I wanted to have a look through 'the horror box', whereby out popped a box from under the counter filled with extreme uncut import DVDs, which would have been illegal to sell. Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. When boiled down, the simple message of ‘having everything, but having nothing’ still resonates because it is told so matter-of-factly and with such enthusiasm one is just captivated. Also moderated and effectively fed by Perry Martin for the same Anchor Bay DVD release, this is a worthwhile companion to the above, with Rubenstein's openly confessed lack of artistic input to the project giving him a different perspective on the production to Romero and his colleagues. I was able to track down a so-so quality copy of the Dawn Of The Dead Entertainment In Video VHS Trailer on YouTube, which was AI upscaled for inclusion here. The standard def anamorphic transfers of the other two cuts are of a similar quality but at a lower resolution and appear to be NTSC to PAL conversions, albeit good ones.
