I was really upset when I first applied this and my lips (which are naturally dry and VERY prone to chapping) didn’t show any signs of moisturisation at all. As an example, it mentions that Ci 19140 may cause itching and hives in some people but the colorant is always labeled so that you can avoid it if you are sensitive. I did find it a little sticky (for girls that may be an issue with longer hair) but not for me :) It tastes and smells amazing. Don’t worry if you see crystals forming on your lip butter it’s a totally normal, natural result of the waxes and oils in the product.

This ideal lip balm requires only a very little amount to be applied on the lips and it has an extremely lightweight formula. It is also more glossy than other oils, in fact, it creates the highest gloss of all natural oils when applied to the skin. As I mentioned in my review of the Tokyo Milk Dark Salted Caramel lip elixir, for a while I didn’t like lip balms that you had to apply with your finger.Last but by no means least, our pocket-friendly powerhouse, Shea Lip Butter – enriched with Community Fair Trade shea butter goodness. One of my favorite things about this lip balm is the adorable little plastic tub it comes in, it is so nice and the little label with the lips on it is so cute.

OMG guys, I’m so happy that I got the last four Born Lippy lip balms that I needed, after trying the strawberry one I wanted to try the rest! I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lip balm that is moisturizing, has a really yummy scent and flavor, and leaves a glossy shine with a really nice light pinkish-red tint that makes your lips look really healthy and moisturized! Unlike other fatty acids, ricinoleic acid has an extra water-loving part (aka -OH group) on its fatty chain that gives Castor Oil several unique properties. If not or you found any information regarding the brand or the product wrong then correct me by commenting below! I’m really happy I got this lip balm, it turned out to be a really good product and I look forward to trying more of them in the future!

I love these Born Lippy lip balms so much, I highly recommend them but only if you like strong scents and flavors. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. With it being so cold - my lips and face don't appreciate the harsh, freezing temperatures (okay I'm slightly exaggerating) but my lips are cracked and I'm terrible for chewing on them when they're like this.

It has polyphenols including anthocyanins and ellagitannins that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Ricinus communis, Lanolin, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Aroma, Cera Alba, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Silica, Benzyl Benzoate, Citrullus vulgaris, Tocopheryl Acetate, Limonene, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Linalool, Methyl 2-Octynoate, CI 77891, CI 19140, CI 15850. Compared to the pure form it's more stable, has longer shelf life, but it's also more poorly absorbed by the skin. It also leaves a light pink tint, it looks like it would leave a really red tint but don’t worry, the pink tint it leaves is really nice and subtle.
