Simple and unpretentious wireless headphones for every day, just such a characteristic can be given to the KOSS BT539i .

If you continue up the headphone ladder, more expensive headphones bring improved sound quality, more premium materials, better build, and far superior aesthetics. Everything is tested by our dedicated team of in-house reviewers in our custom-built test rooms in London, Reading and Bath. Koss introduced the design in 1984, and their longevity is testament to their sonic performance – this wasn’t always the trendiest of looks. The KSC75’s looks are entirely functional, but they are likely not going to be embraced by fashionistas. Only in music filled with instruments can one notice a lack of highs, but this is corrected by an equalizer. While retro-styled, the KPH30i are less distinctively and divisively styled than the 1984 designed Porta Pros.

The soft foam pads aren’t designed for any sort of sound isolation, so whatever you’re listening to with the Porta Pros will be audible to people near you. The multi-colored, thicker, and comfier Yaxi ear pads are my strongly suggested first upgrade (although they are a somewhat significant financial investment for headphones this inexpensive). The quality of the bass is quite good though, not boomy, and does not bleed into the midrange, and it really gives way to the other frequencies. While Koss hasn’t delivered an abject failure with its 2018 update, the company certainly hasn’t done enough of the hard work of integrating the old with the new in a smooth and coherent manner.Koss creates different sounding (and looking) headphones all based around this single driver, displaying remarkable longevity and success. For the sub-bass regions, however, it drops off quite sharply, even when compared to more neutral dynamic headphones like Sennheiser’s HD600.

Initially, the product's purpose was to demonstrate to consumers the high-fidelity stereo sound of the portable phonograph. It’s curved rather than flat (meaning it has more internal volume) and has larger vents around the back’s circumference. So depending on your use case, it could be an advantage for when you want to hear what is in your surroundings, or just crank up the volume and you will be in your own euphoric sound chamber inside the KPH30i. with aptX™ to ensure the Porta Pro® Wireless Bluetooth headphones maintained the classic Sound of Koss® profile listeners have been enjoying since 1984.The KSC75 lean towards a refined and audiophile sound, more suited to critical listening than vibrating your brains out with boosted bass. The sound is still in your head, but there is a sense of width and depth giving the listener an illusion of some depth and width, which is all in front. The KOSS KPH30i is a small, lightweight portable headphone with a retro design inspired by the original Koss KTXPro1/Pro35 models. Although sporting a modern design, the KPH30i are delightfully retro-styled and hearken back to their ‘80s roots. It took me a while to get to listen to them, but when I had the chance, I couldn’t put them down anymore.
